Developed by a Japanese Chiropractor in the 1970's, the art of kinesiotaping is widely used by Chiropractors, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers. It has been used on a regular basis by the Korean and Japanese Olympic Gymnasts. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, Keri Walsh used this on her shoulders.  She and her teammate went on to win the Gold Medal in Women’s Beach Volleyball.

Kinesiotape is applied over and around muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, relax overused or tired muscles, and support muscles in movement on a 24 hour-a-day basis.  It is not a restrictive type of taping and allows for full range of motion.

“I have been using Kinesiotape since 2002 with great results. I have used this special taping method on all type of athletes.  I even use this for every day aches and pains from poor posture and/or prolonged computer use. It works great on overused muscles or tendonitis.” –Dr. Choe
